As a Welding Operator at Sif, you hold a crucial role in our production process, managing the machines and overseeing the welding of steel plates—some as long as 27 meters—into long plates that are eventually rolled into casings. Sif stands as one of the largest manufacturers of steel tubes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines. Welding Operator. What does that mean?

As a Welding Operator, your responsibilities include creating welding connections using semi-automatic welding machines, adhering meticulously to the relevant welding procedures (WPS).

Your responsibilities

You are accountable for the proper setup and operation of the machines. Regular maintenance of production machines and other equipment is part of your duties to ensure optimal equipment functionality.Ensuring the quality of the welded casings is a crucial task. You conduct checks and tests at the front end of production to ensure the program applies the correct operations. This ensures that the massive steel foundations meet required specifications and the highest quality standards. Additionally, you report production data and maintain relevant documentation.Safety is paramount in our production process. You ensure that all tasks are performed correctly according to regulations and guidelines, remaining vigilant for potential hazards and taking measures to minimize risks.

Who are you?

You are an accurate and responsible professional with a strong passion for metalworking. You have a VCA Basic certificate or are willing to obtain one. Working in 3 shifts suits your flexible attitude.
